I was born in Lebanon. I am the youngest of three siblings. I grew up in a poor family but very education oriented thanks to the dedication of my father who was a teacher and worked as many hours and as many jobs as he can to support us and thanks to my mother who was a housewife and dedicated all her life to us . I did my medical school at the American university of Beirut and graduated in 1997. I then moved to the United States where I did my residency in internal medicine at KU in Wichita and then moved to St Louis where I finished a fellowship in geriatrics. Finally I did 6 months of pain and palliative care at the national institutes of health in Maryland before relocating to Greensburg in 2003. I practiced there till the tornado hit in 2007 when I moved to Wichita and became a hospitalist for almost 4 years. In those years, I still came to Greensburg at least one day a month because I couldn’t afford loosing contact with my patients and the wonderful staff over there. To complete the love story between Greensburg and myself, I moved back there on Valentine’s Day in 2011.

My oldest sister has a doctorate in statistics and lives in Miami with my brother who holds two degrees in business and photography. My other sister is married and has two kids. She has a doctorate in laboratory genetics and lives in Montreal Canada. My mom is still alive and travels between all of us all around the year chasing the best weather each of the locations can offer. I have a 7 year old daughter who now lives with her mother in Kansas City and I get to see her every other weekend.

I own a house in Wichita, where I go almost every weekend to relax, dine, watch movies, and go out with my friends some of whom I knew for 14 years now. I work out every day while I am in Greensburg and I am a member of the rotary club here and the current treasurer of the theater board.
